Effect of change factors on evaporation loss based on cold end system in natural draft counter-flow wet cooling towers

The water loss caused by evaporation heat dissipation is non-negligible for a natural draft counter-flow wet cooling tower (NDWCT), which evidently influenced many change factors. Based on Merkel method, the number revised in consideration of effect loss. Taking NDWCTs equipped 300MW and 600MW power plants as experimental objects, mathematical model established predicting NDWCT. accuracy verified data, feasible. Then, factors, including mass flow rate circulating air parameters, studied case fixed thermal load dissipated condenser. Results show that varies little with water. Therefore, Water conservation cannot be achieved changing rate. With increase dry bulb temperature, loss, well unit temperature drop increases. As relative humidity increases, NDWCT outlet whereas difference decrease.
